JEFFERSON CITY — A Jefferson City man has pleaded not guilty to a double murder after being returned to Missouri from Oklahoma.
An attorney entered the not guilty pleas Tuesday on behalf of David Russell Hosier during a brief appearance in court in Cole County. He faces two counts of first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the September deaths of Angela and Rodney Gilpin. He also is charged with burglary and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Authorities say Hosier had a romantic relationship with Angela Gilpin after she separated from her husband. But both Gilpins were at her home the night they were killed. Hosier lived in a nearby apartment.
Hosier was arrested in Oklahoma several hours after the killings.
