FLORISSANT — A radio broadcast of a suburban St. Louis church service had to be taken off the air after the congregation began shouting that a woman had collapsed.
KFUO-AM morning show host Paul Clayton said the disturbance occurred Sunday morning at Blessed Savior Lutheran Church in Florissant. Clayton said the person working at the radio station thought he heard cursing, but really it was confusion after the woman fainted.
Pastor Matthew Roeglin said church members were calling out the name of her husband, who is the church organist.
Roeglin said the woman was taken to a hospital for testing.
After shutting off the live feed, the station filled the dead air with music.
