COLUMBIA — The City Clerk’s office is currently accepting applications for the Columbia Vision Commission after a resignation in September.
The commission works to track, monitor and assist with implementing the community vision process through periodic reviews and annual reports.
Applicants must be a resident of Boone County not residing within the city limits of Columbia, and though many applications have been received, none have filled this requirement, City Clerk Sheela Amin said.
According to a news release, applicants will be evaluated on the ability to work with data and understand systematic relationships, the ability to work collaboratively, management skills and independence.
Citizens and organizations may nominate candidates for the commission by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at cityclerk@GoColumbiaMo.com or at 874-7208. Nominations are due on Jan. 6. Self-nominations will also be accepted; those are due Jan. 8.
