ST. LOUIS — A central Missouri man has been sentenced to six years in prison and his mother to four years of probation for their involvement in a murder-for-hire plot.
Acting U.S. Attorney Michael Reap says 42-year-old Roy Cameron and his 59-year-old mother, Elsie, both pleaded guilty in October to one felony count of conspiracy to commit murder for hire. Both were sentenced on Tuesday. Both are from Rolla.
Reap says that between March and July, the Camerons were involved in a plot to have one or two other men killed so that they would not testify in a methamphetamine case against an acquaintance.
The killings did not take place.
