LEXINGTON — Two northwest Missouri men accused of raping and molesting young family members two decades ago now face arraignment Feb. 1.
The arraignments were set as the Lafayette County prosecutor announced the indictments Monday of 77-year-old Burrell E. Mohler Sr. and his 52-year-old son, David A. Mohler. The indictments replace criminal complaints filed earlier.
The two men, along with four other male family members, are accused of raping young relatives at a Lafayette County farm over a 10-year period beginning in the mid-1980s.
Burrell Mohler faces 21 counts of rape and other offenses. David Mohler is charged with two counts of rape.
Two other defendants — 53-year-old Burrell Mohler Jr. and 47-year-old Roland Mohler — were due in court Tuesday.
