COLUMBIA — Two people were arrested Saturday night after a search of their car yielded over 150 grams of packaged marijuana, the Boone County Sheriff's Department said.
Sgt. Brian Leer said the car was stopped at about 9 p.m. near Scott Boulevard and Vawter School Road for a defective tail light. When the deputy involved learned that one of the car's occupants had a criminal conviction, he sought consent to search the vehicle, Leer said.
Rachel L. Clemons, 25, of Marshall, and Michael T. Baker, 24, of Columbia, were each charged with one count of delivery or manufacture of a controlled substance.
Clemons' bond was set at $10,000. She posted bond and was released from the Boone County Jail.
Baker's bond was set at $20,000, and he remained in custody at the Boone County Jail as of late Sunday morning.
