COLUMBIA – The 21-year-old driver involved in a near head-on collision Saturday* afternoon on Route WW has died.
Brandy Phillips, who lived in Thompson, near Mexico, was pronounced dead several hours after being taken to University Hospital.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when Phillips’ Ford Festiva collided with a westbound Geo Prizm that crossed the center line* less than a mile east of Rangeline Road.
The driver of the Prizm, Byron Young, a 38-year-old man from Fulton, was also taken to University Hospital with moderate injuries. He was listed in fair condition Sunday afternoon.

this is the crash report. Mr. Young was the responsible party for this crash!!!! Not Mrs. Phillips. Mr. Young was an uninsured motorist who caused a horrific tradgedy by his poor use of judgement.
