UPDATE: Jefferson Junior High BB gun not found, believed removed from school property

COLUMBIA — At 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jefferson Junior High School officials completed their search for a BB gun brought to school by a 14-year-old eighth-grade student, a news release stated.

Although the student revealed the location of the BB gun, it wasn't found. Police think the BB gun was removed and taken off school property, the release said. Classes resumed shortly after.
