FULTON — A former mid-Missouri mayor and coach has died.
Robert E. "Bob" Fisher Jr. led the city of Fulton from 1991 to 1999, and spent 30 years coaching football and track for Fulton High School.
The Jefferson City News Tribune reported that Fisher died Saturday morning.
City Administrator Bill Johnson said Fisher "really loved Fulton." He described him as a "strong leader" who used his leadership skills to make the community better.
Fulton Mayor Charlie Latham says he has "the highest regard" for Fisher.
