A third person has declared his candidacy in the race to  replace Sen. Kit Bond, R-Mo.

Robert Praprotnik, who owns an architecture firm in St. Louis, is a father of three. He served in the Army in the 1960s.

Praprotnik's Web site describes him as a "Reagan conservative." His campaign platforms include vows to reduce taxes and "Re-establish the Constitution as the law of the Land."

Praprotnik, 68, joins Congressman Roy Blunt and state Sen. Chuck Purgason of Caulfield in the Republican primary. The winner will likely face Secretary of State Robin Carnahan in the general election on Aug. 3.
