COLUMBIA — The Columbia Fire Department responded to three car accidents Monday night. It could not be confirmed on Tuesday morning whether the incidents were weather-related.
The first accident occurred at 9:37 p.m. at the intersection of Clark Lane and McKee Road. Three fire units were dispatched to the extrication crash where an individual was trapped in a vehicle.
The second accident occurred at 9:49 p.m. in the 400 block of Old Plank Road. The third occurred at 9:55 p.m., and both the Fire Department and the Boone County Fire Protection District responded.
The Fire Department dispatched one unit to two crashes and occupants in both sustained minor injuries.
Battalion Chief Steven Sapp said there will be an additional rescue squad on hand and all stations will remain open on Tuesday.
