PrintWall Street sure isn't worried about health care. Nor are the overpaid congressman and senators sitting in their overpriced offices and flying here and there telling us it costs this much and that much out of taxpayers pockets, when in reality they have health care and their retirement is secure.
In reality, our taxpayer money went to big banks and insurance company pockets and they are still robbing hard-working Americans of their hard-earned money. Whether you believe the Republicans or the Democrats, it does not matter. All Americans deserve MUCH better than our comical press and redundant legislature give us for their easily earned money and benefits.
I'm lucky enough — for now — to have health insurance. To afford it, I gave up owning a car. I use the under used public transit.Where's my tax break? The government should raise taxes on anybody earning over one million per year. I live on $23,000: $650 per month for rent; $180 per month for electricity; $170 per month for phone, cable and internet; and $125 per year for bus fares and taxis.
The government tax I pay is $1,760. I am off six weeks every year with no pay. That is the real world, not the fantasy they live in on Wall Street and in Washington, D.C.
