Rain to turn into snow early Sunday evening

Columbia had received about 1.2 inches of rain as of 4 p.m. Sunday. The National Weather Service in St. Louis forecasts that the rain will turn to snow between 6 and 9 p.m. About 1 inch is expected to accumulate. The snow is predicted to taper off around midnight.
