 Q. I bought a pass and reserved my tickets. Where do I pick them up?

A. All passes and reserved tickets are available at the True/False box office on the corner of Ninth and Cherry streets.

Q. When is the box office open?

A. It is open from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday (for pass holder pick up only); from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday (for pass holder pickup only until noon); from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Q. I didn’t reserve tickets. Can I still buy them?

A. Remaining tickets are available at the box office, $8 for general admission, $6 for students with an ID.

To have the best chance to get tickets, buy them Thursday. Beginning at 9 a.m., you can get a number at the box office.

If the number is low, it's a good bet that you can start standing in line at noon and not have to wait long. If the number is high, you might want to come back later in the afternoon to avoid a long wait.

Ten minutes before each show, any unsold tickets will be available at the door of the venue for $10 general admission.

At the Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts and The Blue Note, students can buy tickets at the door for $6. At all other venues, the cost is $10 at the door. The closing night film costs $12.

Q. What are the venues?

A. In addition to the Missouri Theatre and The Blue Note, films will be shown at Ragtag Cinema, Forrest Theater at the Tiger Hotel, Windsor Cinema at Stephens College and Firestone Baars Chapel at Stephens.

Q. I keep hearing about the “Q” system. What’s that?

A. One hour before a showing, those without tickets can “Q” up — stand in line — to increase the chance of scoring a ticket to a particular film. Those in the “Q” will be given a number and have priority status when tickets are released 5-10 minutes before the film starts. Festival officials say there’s never been a showing where no tickets were handed out at the door.

Q. Is there a real person I can talk to if I have another ticket question?

A. The True/False phone number is 573-442-TRUE or e-mail tickets@truefalse.org. The box office is also a good place to find a real person.

Q. Can I talk to a filmmaker?

A. The festival has put together a series of panels and workshops. They are free and open to the public. Here is the schedule:

Q. I want to attend one of the events where I can meet filmmakers and other film fans. Can I?

A. Concerts are typically open to the public with an admission fee or cover, but some parties are restricted to passholders. Here’s a list concerts, parties and other events with availability.
