COLUMBIA – Two people were taken to the hospital and a third was treated on the scene with minor injuries after a five-car pileup on Providence Road.
The collision occurred just south of Mick Deaver Drive on Providence Road, and bottlenecked northbound traffic to the shoulder as firefighters and ambulance crews assisted the motorists involved, Columbia Fire Department Capt. Eric Hartman said.
No one was seriously injured.
Crews were working to clean up about 30 gallons of fuel that spilled on the road.
