Chile earthquake: How to help

COLUMBIA — Several organizations have mobilized to send disaster relief teams and supplies to Chile after Saturday's 8.8-magnitude earthquake. If you want to donate, here are some organizations to consider:

• Direct Relief International
• Operation USA: Text “REBUILD” to 50555 to donate $10 to the Chile relief fund.
• OXFAM America
• World Vision International
• Habitat for Humanity: Donations will be used to address shelter solutions.
• Google Crisis Response: Use Google Checkout account to donate instantly to  UNICEF and DirectRelief International.

The Mobile Giving Foundation has set up numbers to donate via text message. Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile have waived text messaging fees for donations. To donate:
