Two cars collide at Broadway and Tenth Street

Emergency crews extricate a woman from her vehicle at approximately 8 a.m. Monday morning at Broadway and Tenth Street. She was taken to University Hospital. The other driver did not appear injured.

COLUMBIA — Two SUVs were involved in a T-bone collision at Broadway and Tenth Street at 7:52 a.m. Monday, according to Columbia Police Officer Brad Anderson.

One woman was extricated from her blue Ford Escape that had rolled over on its side, and she was taken to University Hospital.

Another woman driving a gold Hyundai Santa Fe did not appear to be injured. Neither car had a passenger, and both women were wearing their seat belts. 

Traffic was blocked for at least an hour. Crews were cleaning up radiator fluid around 8:30 a.m.
