The Columbia College men's basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the American Midwest Conference tournament with a 58-53 victory Thursday over host Hannibal-LaGrange.
The fourth-seeded Trojans (11-17) led 29-26 after the first half, but the Cougars used a 10-0 second-half run to move ahead, then held off the Trojans down the stretch. Senior Quintin Totta led fifth-seeded Columbia College (13-18) with 20 points, while Taylor Evans had 11 points and Josh Davis scored 10.
The Cougars advance to a 4 p.m. Saturday semifinal game at No. 1-seeded McKendree.
