COLUMBIA — A national organization is encouraging Columbia youth to “Get ur GOOD on."

“Get ur GOOD on” is a national community service program conducted by Youth Service America and the Youth Advisory Board to encourage participation  in local community service and to highlight the positive things that youth are doing in the community.

Students who participate will identify a way in which they can serve Columbia. As they prepare to fulfill their service, they will create a short video about their experience. These videos will then be shared on yc2.org and also on the national Web site, geturgoodon.org.

Each student who submits a project will be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift card.

The project is open to groups of students, elementary to high school, and is free. For more information and to sign up, go to yc2.org/geturgoodon.
