I have known Sarah through her leadership with the
Columbia Chapter of Parents for Public Schools and through other
volunteer work in the community. She possesses a unique combination of
attributes that will make her an outstanding representative for the
fourth ward. Her professional background and training will allow her to
immediately comprehend the various city ordinances, regulations,
resolutions and reports that define much of the council’s work. She
will hit the ground running. Her willingness to listen to all points of
view and reconcile differences will be a tremendous asset to the
working of the council. Her in-depth knowledge of energy matters,
perhaps the most significant issue facing Columbia, will be an
invaluable benefit for the city in these difficult economic times.
