COLUMBIA — Around 1:45 a.m. Thursday, police say three people were shot at by another group outside the Waffle House at 904 Vandiver Road. Gunfire was reported and shell cases were recovered by Columbia police, according to Public Information Officer Jessie Haden.
Half an hour later, Haden said police found the victims at the International House of Pancakes at 51 Conley Road.
Police are currently looking into the incident and the three victims have been cooperative, Haden said, and they are not currently suspected of committing a crime. Haden said she thinks they would be able to provide "good suspect information."
No information was currently available on the suspects because the investigation is in its early stages, Haden said.
Police will be reviewing surveillance videos from the Waffle House, Haden said.

Wow, maybe they were fighting over their waffles.
Or maybe someone got upset that waffle house doesn't serve pancakes.
