Sid Sullivan, 67, retired to Columbia in 2002 from Oak Park, Ill., with
his wife, Joan. He worked for Roche Diagnostics, the Illinois Department
of Corrections and the Cook County Circuit Court. He has bachelor's
degrees in mathematics and philosophy from Loyola University in
Chicago, a master's degree in sociology from the New School of Social
Research in New York City and a master of business administration degree from
DePaul University in Chicago. He ran for Southern District Boone County
Commissioner in 2008 and the 24th District state House seat in 2006.
Sullivan favors careful city planning, citizen participation and
transparency in government.
