COLUMBIA – Fulya Marsh, a Columbia resident, has been awarded the 2009 Don G. Creamer Research Award from Virginia Tech University.
Marsh, a fourth-year doctoral student of Higher Education Administration, won the award for her project, "Revisiting Transition: Experiences of Middle Eastern Graduate Students in the United States."
According to the university's Web site, the Don G. Creamer Fund at Virgina Tech University was created by its namesake as an endowment to be used to advance professionalism in the Higher Education program.
