Columbia's Fourth Ward voters are fortunate to be able to help elect Sarah Read to a position on the City Council. I have known Sarah for about 10 years, primarily as a member of First Christian Church at Tenth and Walnut Streets in downtown Columbia. She has served as a member and as chairwoman of several important church committees including two terms as moderator of the Administrative Board.
In these capacities she is always well informed, well prepared and assumes her responsibilities with a strong sense of purpose. She is remarkably able to see fairly all sides of complex, multiple-sided issues and work effectively to achieve consensus and get things accomplished. Sarah's community spirit, friendly cooperative personality and commitment to the betterment of Columbia will serve us well on the council, and I am happy to recommend her without reservation for your support.
