If you look at how the Supreme Court voted — 5-4 on removing almost all restrictions on corporation campaign support for candidates — you will see the reason. All but one who voted to remove these restrictions were appointed by Republican presidents. This should show you that the big corporations support the Republican party, and the Republicans don't want to lose their support. This is also the reason the Republicans are trying to block health care reform which would hurt the large insurance and drug corporations. Now Sarah Palin, John McCain and their fellow Republicans are asking where the change is that Obama promised. All they have to do is look in a mirror to see the reason. They don't want any change that would cause them to lose support from these large corporations.
If you want change, you will have to change our political system which allows this to happen. No matter how hard Obama tries, these special interest groups will fight him.
A good start for change would be to establish term limits for Congress to make it harder for special interest groups to control congress. Then we must take money out of our elections by public finance of our elections, as many other countries have. We should worry less about elections in other countries and start to improve our own, as it is a wasteful and corrupt system.

I agree term limits so we can get ride of Harry and Nancy. Oh you are a wrong about the drug companies being against the health care scam. They stand to make Billions from all the new customers.
