Canoeing in the snow: The 2010 Perche Creek Gutbuster race

Competitors and enthusiasts gathered on Saturday morning for the Perche Creek Gutbuster, a race that took canoes and kayaks up 10 miles of the creek and back. The race went on even with a steady afternoon snowfall.

The Perche Creek Gutbuster, a canoe and kayak race, brought out water sport enthusiasts from around the Midwest – even in the snow. Bryan Hopkins finished the race with the fastest overall time. The race took canoes and kayaks up 10 miles of the Perche Creek and back.
