Power outage in southwest Columbia

COLUMBIA — Southwest Columbia is currently experiencing a power outage because of a tree that fell on a power line around 7:30 p.m.

The primary zip code affected is 65203, said Dave Simmons, call center operative with the city of Columbia.

Simmons said the city is working to fix the outage, which should hopefully be restored soon.
