COLUMBIA — A man was shot in his stomach around 9:08 pm at Circus Avenue on Tuesday night, said Columbia Police Sgt. Bruce Houston.
The 35- to 40-year-old male victim in the Circus Avenue shooting ran into a house after being shot and the homeowner called the police, according to police. The victim was taken to University Hospital with a gunshot wound to the stomach.
As of now, the police have no suspects, no witnesses, and are not sure who the victim is.
A silver car with damage to the front right end was involved in the accident, but police are not sure how.
Traffic is blocked as the investigation continues.
Police headed to another report of shots fired near the intersection of Worley Street and Spencer Avenue, but they did not find a victim.
