Last month, the Missouri Department of Transportation began replacing some of Columbia's "left turn yield on green" traffic signals with flashing yellow arrows.
The new arrows were installed at six stoplights on Stadium Boulevard in March. MoDOT announced Friday that five intersections on College Avenue will receive the new signals.
"We are installing the flashing yellow arrow signals in an effort to reduce motorists' confusion and improve highway safety," MoDOT District Traffic Engineer Matt Meyers said.
Do you think the "left turn yield on green" signals are confusing? Do you think the new flashing yellow left-turn arrows will help drivers?
