COLUMBIA — Two roadways near Columbia will undergo repairs this week, possibly slowing traffic, according to a Missouri Department of Transportation news release.
Route ZZ between I-70 Drive Southwest and Route TT will be resurfaced between Monday and Thursday. Only one lane will be open, and traffic will be flagged through by road crews.
The Route 40 bridge over Interstate 70 at mile marker 121 near Midway will have its deck replaced as part of the Safe and Sound Bridge Improvement Program this week. The bridge will be closed to traffic during construction, and traffic will be detoured.
In addition, the Missouri 163 west outer road, south of the Route 163 and Route AC intersection, will be reconfigured starting Wednesday. The new configuration will give vehicles traveling east and west the right-of-way to prevent backups on Missouri 163.
