Part of Chapel Hill Road closing Monday morning

COLUMBIA – A stretch of Chapel Hill Road, between Market Drive and Scott Boulevard, will close Monday at 7 a.m. and will reopen Tuesday at 5 p.m., according to a release from the Public Works Department. During this time, traffic will detour onto Market Drive.

Part of Scott Boulevard, between Georgetown Drive and Chapel Hill, will be closed Wednesday night as part of the same construction project. The city is installing storm sewers on Scott Boulevard and needs to shut down Chapel Hill for better access to this next stretch, Jill Stedem, Public Information Specialist for the department said.
