COLUMBIA–The 83rd annual Prince of Wales charity horse show transitioned back to its former location with relative ease.
Saturday's show, which had 39 classes of competition, returned to the Stephens College Equestrian Center after 20 years at the Midway Expo Center.
While the college's personal venue is smaller, the Prince of Wales Club secretary, Sarah Ham, said she enjoyed the change.
"It's a little easier for us to move it back home," Ham said. "It's kind of an experimental year, but I think it's run really smoothly this morning."
While this year's show was more convenient to run, Ham said "this show is quite a bit smaller than previous years."
"We are limited in the number of stalls we can rent out to competitors," Ham said. "And the weather has affected a lot of our entries today."
Each year, the show sponsors a charity. This year's show sponsored Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center.
