COLUMBIA — The Boone County Sheriff’s Department arrested seven people during a sobriety checkpoint Thursday morning at the intersection of Brown School and Providence roads.
The checkpoint, which took place between midnight and 2:30 a.m., checked 88 cars and resulted in three arrests for driving while intoxicated.
In addition, there were:
- Two arrests on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.
- One arrest on an adult liquor law violation.
- One arrest on an outstanding felony warrant.
The Sheriff’s Department conducted the checkpoint with the Boone County Chapter of Mother’s Against Drunk Driving and the Hallsville Police Department.
