What is an academic dean? I got blind-sided in the other Columbia newspaper because I said there were now no more deans at MS&T, when in fact there's one person there who carries a dual title that has the word "dean" as part of it. That person, it turns out, is strictly administrative and NOT academic. The academic deans are gone!
And assistant academic deans?
If one campus of this university can eliminate the academic deans then why can't the rest of them them do it? Give Missouri taxpayers a break!
