COLUMBIA — Police issued an arrest warrant Wednesday for Chaquana Townsend, 21, in connection with a stabbing on Monday night, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.
Jasmine Patrick, 28, was stabbed while walking outside her mother's house on Forest Avenue after two women got out of a car and began to fight her. The women were last seen entering a white four-door vehicle after the incident.
Townsend, of Columbia, is wanted for one count of first degree assault and one count of armed criminal action. Police described her as a black female between 5'1" to 5'2" and 100 to 115 pounds.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are still trying to identify the other suspect. She is described as a black female, 5'3" tall and between 170 and 200 pounds.
Patrick suffered wounds to her left hand, left arm, left temple and back, according to the news release. She was treated and released from University Hospital.
