Families and friends gathered this Memorial Day weekend to hold barbecues and get-togethers in the warm weather. Capen Park was open for rock-climbing and the Salute to Veterans Memorial Air Show was held at Columbia Regional Airport.

Monday, May 31, 2010 | 8:56 p.m. CDT
Molly Winkelmeyer belays while Bethany Lindeman climbs a rock face at Capen Park on Monday. This was their first time climbing this season, and they shared their time with friends from their church, the Evangelical Free Church Of Columbia. The warm Memorial Day air was a boon to fans of outdoor activities, and people across Columbia spent their day exercising and playing.
