Missouri father sentenced for incest, murder

HARRISONVILLE — A western Missouri man who fathered four babies with his young daughter has been sentenced to life in prison plus 22 years.

Only one of the four babies survived.

The 47-year-old man was sentenced Monday in Cass County Circuit Court for second-degree murder, second-degree rape, two counts of incest and two counts of abandoning a corpse. He was convicted in April.

The man is not being identified by The Associated Press to protect the identity of the victim.

One of the children the man had with his daughter died after falling off a couch. Another was stillborn, and a third died after not receiving proper medical attention.
