ST. LOUIS — The flooding Mississippi River at St. Louis is halting gambling at the President Casino.
KSDK-TV reports the President closed at 2 a.m. Friday, marking the third time this year that flooding has forced temporary shutdown of the casino that sits on the river near the Gateway Arch.
The closing comes as the President prepares to permanently close after the gambling day on June 28. Pinnacle Entertainment agreed to give up its license for the aging riverboat. The Missouri Gaming Commission is expected to award that license later this year.
