Mary Muscato discusses what it was like to go through cancer treatment.

COLUMBIA — Mary Muscato is an oncologist with Missouri Cancer Associates and a breast cancer survivor. After being diagnosed in 2008, Muscato underwent chemotherapy and surgery.

Muscato received overwhelming support from her family, friends, patients and many others who helped her make a full recovery. On Saturday, she attended the Pink Promise Tea event, which was a luncheon hosted by the Mid-Missouri Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
