The Pacific Coast League selected former Missouri second basemen, Brock Bond for the 2010 Triple-A All-Star Game on Thursday after Bond garnered more than 3,900 fan votes.
Players are selected for the All-Star Game by fans, managers and officials in the league office. The PCL squad will face the all-stars from the International League.
Bond, who plays for the Fresno Grizzlies – an affiliate of the San Francisco Giants — will start at second base for the game, set to take place July 14 in Allentown, Pa.
Through the first 76 games this season with the Grizzlies, Bond, a St. Louis native, is batting .300 with 17 doubles and 28 RBIs.
