COLUMBIA — The last day to register to vote in the Aug. 3 primary election is Wednesday.
Registration forms filled out online must be printed, signed and postmarked to the Boone County Clerk's Office before 5 p.m. Registration forms can also be completed in person at the county clerk's office at 801 E. Walnut St.
Updates are also needed if voters have changed their address or name, but those changes can be filed online as late as election day.
The primary ballot will include candidates for the U.S. Senate, state auditor, U.S. House of Representatives and state House of Representatives, as well as positions in county government. A full list of candidates on the Boone County ballot can be found here.
Voters will also decide the fate of Proposition C, which, if passed, will prevent the government from penalizing citizens who don't purchase private health care or who pay directly for their health care services.
