Molly Kreklow leads USA Junior National volleyball team

Missouri freshman setter Molly Kreklow helped the USA Volleyball Junior National Team place first in pool play in the North America, Central America and Caribbean (NORCECA) Women’s Junior Continental Championship in Mexico.

Kreklow compiled 21 assists in a 3-0 victory over Mexico, racking up five more assists than the entire Mexico team combined. 

Team USA ended pool play at 3-0. The earlier victories over El Salvador and Guadalupe, along with the win over Mexico automatically qualify Team USA for the semifinals on Friday.

Kreklow combined for 20 assists against El Salvador and Guadalupe before passing out 21 against Mexico.

 Team USA is playing for its fourth-straight NORCECA Continental Championship. Top competitors in the tournament include the champions from the other two pools, Cuba and the Dominican Republic.

Team USA’s next opponent is yet to be determined.
