COLUMBIA — A man is still in critical condition Tuesday after his motorcycle collided with a Columbia Para Transit bus Monday afternoon, according to a spokesperson for University Hospital.
As previously reported by the Missourian, Michael Heaston, 34, of Centralia, was driving west on Vandiver Drive as the city bus was crossing Vandiver, going southbound on Burlington Street. The motorcycle fell on its side and collided with the bus when Heaston moved to the turn lane trying to avoid an accident, police said.
Heaston was taken via ambulance to University Hospital Monday, where he remains in critical condition after surgery.
