HARRISBURG —On Saturday Coyote Hill Christian Children’s Home celebrated its trademark “Framing Day” for the building of its fourth home. The all-day event included both professional carpenters and community volunteers to help construct the frame and roof of the house. Coyote Hill is an organization that takes in abused and neglected children.
The fourth home was dedicated to Bentley Wright. Wright suffered a hayride accident in 1982 that rendered him a paraplegic. The new home is handicap accessible and will feature an elevator to accommodate physically disabled children.
Larry McDaniel is the executive director of Coyote Hill and founded the organization in 1991 with his late wife Cathy. Kari Salmon, 23, is the development director at Coyote Hill. She has been working at Coyote Hill for just over a year.
