A native of St. Louis, Conway said he decided to run for U.S. Senate shortly after President Barack Obama took office.

“I could see where we were headed, and I didn’t care for it,” he said. “Then, I looked at who the current Republican candidates were, and I didn’t care for them either.”
Conway said his experience as a small business owner is what separates him from the other candidates.
“I can better understand issues dealing with business that the other candidates and career politicians don’t know or care about,” he said.
Working in the construction industry, Conway said he is fed up with how the federal government treats small businesses.
“Small businesses need to be classified correctly,” he said. “The federal government classifies a small business as something that employs 500 people or less, but in Missouri, most small businesses employ 25 or less. There’s no way these should be treated the same. They need a little leeway.
“The way small businesses do their taxes needs to be adjusted. They can be fined through their eyes like a big business just for being late on paperwork, and that can cost someone their company.”
Conway said education and the economy are his other major issues.
