COLUMBIA — The MU School of Health Professions Department of Occupational Therapy will be hosting an Adapted Golf Clinic for people of all ages with low vision or blindness. The clinic will be held on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Perche Creek Golf Club.
“The purpose of the clinic is to introduce or reintroduce the game of golf to anyone with a vision impairment,” said Giuli Krug, clinical assistant professor at the Department of Occupational Therapy.
Under the guidance of volunteers and local golf professionals, participants will learn all the basic golf skills needed to play with impaired vision and how to work one-on-one with a coach. Each participant will get the opportunity to play one hole of golf.
The event is free and open to anyone with vision impairment. Participants must pre-register by calling the Occupational Therapy office at 573-882-3988. Registration will close at noon on Wednesday.
