DE SOTO — Authorities believe a small alligator found in an eastern Missouri creek was a pet that someone decided to drop off.
The alligator was found Sunday night in Joachim Creek in De Soto.
Police told KSDK-TV they kept it overnight in a pool, then took it to the World Bird Sanctuary in St. Louis County. After a few days, it will be transferred to Riverside Reptile Ranch.

What a croc!
(They should've tanned him into a cute little pair of baby boots for some upcoming two stepping, line dancing tyke.)
