The Missouri Tigers finished the 2009 football season with an 8-5 record. As the team begins to warm up for the 2010 season, many fans expect to see the Tigers return to the field for a stronger season, the last for the old Big 12 Conference.
One of the key offensive players for the Tigers will be junior quarterback Blaine Gabbert. Gabbert was injured in the middle of last season when the Tigers played the Cornhuskers in October. Even with a sprained right ankle, Gabbert continued to take his position, throwing 24 touchdown passes for 3,593 yards.
This season Gabbert has recovered and is back on the field. But should another injury take Gabbert out of the game, the Tigers will be ready.
The team has a new player who’s quickly grabbing attention. Freshman quarterback James Franklin, a highly prized recruit out of Corinth, Texas, will be Gabbert’s backup.
With Gabbert back on his feet, the team is expected to do well, according to the Bleacher Report. The team kicks off the season with an easy schedule, the Report writes.
Playing Illinois, McNeese State, San Diego State, Miami (in Ohio) and Colorado, the boys of MU are expected to be riding easy.
Games against Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Texas Tech are when the team will have to really flex its muscle.
What do you expect to see from the Tigers this season?

A lot of disappointment!
I expect a few of them to get into fights. Some will probably be arrested for assault and/or battery. Even more will get into trouble and we won't hear anything about it publicly because it will be swept under the rug. It's happened for years, why should this year be any different?
They will have a season similar to last years but with 1 maybe 2 more wins. they have a young and talented team with a very good offense. they have a slight potential to do even better than 1 or 2 more wins and they could compete for a conference title ( i hope they do). if u love to talk tiger football as much as i do, follow me on twitter @MUtigerFBfans and we can talk some Mizzou tiger football
