Larry Quick of Aledo, Ill., launched his monster truck, Ghost Ryder, over a mud bank during the monster truck show on Saturday at the Boone County Fair. Quick's truck won first place in the freestyle event, measured by the audience cheering for their favorite.

COLUMBIA — The Monster Truck & Tuff Truck show at the Boone County Fair was postponed because of rain. The show, originally scheduled for Friday evening, took place at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The trucks featured creative names such as Quadzilla, Bear Foot, Torqzilla and Ghost Ryder.

The truck represented the most experience on the field, as driver Roger Gauger of Evansville, Ind., has been racing monster trucks for 18 years.
