COLUMBIA — Many bikers braved the heat to get out and explore Boone County. Many also camped at the Boone County Fairgrounds and walked through the vendor area to see who came. More bikers are expected to arrive as the weekend nears.

Dave Adams of Cleveland checks the fuses on a Harley-Davidson belonging to his friend Al De Freece, of Montclair, N.J., at the National Bikers Roundup at the Boone County Fairgrounds on Wednesday. The motorcycle would not restart after the pair stopped at the entrance. "A bike breaking down is part of riding," Adams said. With the help of a technician from Harley, they got the bike back up and running.
